Richard M. Stoudemire

Richard M. Stoudemire is an attorney Of Counsel in HR Law’s Jacksonville office.

A member of the Florida Bar since 1982, Richard began his career litigating civil and commercial cases and then expanded his practice to workers’ compensation defense.  

Florida Bar Board Certified in Workers’ Compensation since 1994, he has earned an excellent reputation representing the interests of employers, carriers and claims-handling entities in complex litigation.  

Richard’s background in civil liability provides particular insights on workers’ compensation coverage issues and “Coverage B” Employers Liability exposure, third-party subrogation and lien resolutions. Licensed to practice in all Federal courts in Florida, he is also a Certified Circuit Court Mediator.

Richard is a founding member of the E. Robert Williams Inn of Court, and recipient of the Inn’s prestigious annual professionalism award, former chairman of the Primerus Defense Institute Executive Committee and past president of the Jacksonville Defense Lawyers Association.  He is AV Preeminent-rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized multiple times by Florida Legal Elite and Florida Super Lawyers.

Richard earned his Juris Doctor from Emory Law School in 1982 and his Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Emory University in 1977.
